Greetings from Basque Country
Hey there everyone.. It was a while since I wrote.. as I’ve explained before I am very busy right now and it is starting to tear on me.. I am feeling stressed, maybe a little burned out, not wanting to do anything and I just want stop with everything.. but hey it is not that much time left so I will try fighting in to the last..
Anyway Beatrice and Sofi were here to visit me the 30th of April until 4th of may. It was during the week so I had to go to my internship two of the days they were here but because it was only in the morning and because of first of May I was at least free one day.
The first day it was raining and a holliday so everything was closed. So we decided to go by bus to San Sebastian. There it was raining even more (just our luck) but on the bright side there were some fun stores open there. We all bought shoes (Cost only 8 Euro) and I bought a swimsuit and Bea some presents etc. We also went to some bars trying some pintxos and Cidra (The Cidra didn’t really go home, but at least they tried it, the octopussy the didn’t even try..). We ended the day in the bar of Linnea and then took the bus back to Bilbao and eating chicky bits and tortilla chips in a bar “Los Mundos” in Indauxu with my friend Daniella.
On Wednesday the weather was much better and we first thought about taking another trip out of Bilbao. But we ended up taking the funicular up Artxanda to se the view of Bilbao and having a little picnic. Later we strolled around the city, seeing Guggenheim, the river and then the centre and the shops. Ending up in some bar in Casco Viejo and finally in a Japanese restaurant. I just love Sushi!!! But Sofi and Beatrice don’t, but they had other things to so that was nice. Daniella joined us this hole day.
On Thursday the last day, we took it easy, pretty tired (in any case I was). So we walked a bit and then went to se the Museum of fine arts. They had a temporary exhibition from the Prado museum in Madrid and then I really liked their permanent collection with Spanish but primary Basque art. Then we took a coffee in the purple bar and shopped a little more.. Going home quite early to pack and rest and cooking dinner together.
It was really nice to have you here Beatrice and Sofi, just to bad that you couldn’t stay longer and over a weekend!
Hugs and kisses
