This weekend and week

I'm sorry for not been writing in a wile but I have been busy and sick so I have an excuse.. Alright! Here's what I we been up to:

This Friday there were a big party at a villa of an German guy named Malte and all the Erasmus students came. It was really fun to meet and talk with everyone, for example there were three people from Finland there and one girl from Holland. The party went on for a long time and then at the end the rest went to a discothèque the last hour o so. But I went home with the last metro at 2 along with some French girls.

This Saturday I, Marnie, Connie and Lise went to San Sebastian a beautiful city by the coast. And right now there is a international film festival there. We traveled at 12 a clock by buss, that took little more than an hour. And then we decided on what movie we wanted to se and one that there still had tickets left to. It took a wile, but when we had decided on and bought the ticket to the movie, El Triumfo, (The Triumph) a Spanish movie, the weather had changed from sunny and warm to cloudy and a bit windy. So instead of going to the beach we went to eat a bit at a bar. And after eating, we went directly to the cinema. The movie was really great, we all thought so. And the good thing was that they had subtitles in English, because sometimes it was hard to follow what they were saying. But I definitely recommend this movie.
After the screening of the movie, it had started to rain.. so we went on to an other bar to take some drinks.. and because I and Marnie didn't feel that well we decided to go home with the last buss at 23. If the weather had been better and we have been feeling better maybe we would have stayed the hole night partying and taking the first buss home instead of the last.

This Sunday I stayed the hole day in bed because I did not feel well at all, fever and stomachache. All because my staying in bed all day and night my back starting to hurt a great deal.. And after going to the University this Monday, the first day of school, not feeling well and wanting to relax, lay down.. I could not because my back hurt so much. I couldn’t sleep at night, I would wake up at 2 o clock or so, not able to sleep because of the pain in my back.. that got worse when I laid down for a wile. I started to think that it was something else wrong, because so this Wednesday I went to the doctor and had me examed. But she concluded that it only has to be some muscles that hurt, and came me some aspirins or something similar.

Today, Thursday, my stomach is a lot better but I still have the pains in my back, but fortunately I could sleep the whole night. The only thing is that I can only lay on my back and without a pillow, so it is a bit uncomfortable, so I hope it will go away soon.. I don’t really like my bed.. it is too hard.. they only use the big matrass here (resarmadrass inte nagon baddmadrass) So I think Im going to IKEA to try to find one.

Yesterday we had our traditional dinner, and this time we had it at Marnies apartment. She lives in Getxo, that is by the beach and was in the beginning created for the more fortunate people to live, so it is really beautiful.

The classes I have gone to so far is fun, but one class is really hard with a lot of economical terms, and all the other student in the class also thinks its hard so I’m not the only one. I have gotten to know a little bit some of the student.. Spanish girls and that’s fun.

Yesterday, Wednesday!

We went to the beach after our Spanish course, it was really warm over 30 degrees and it was really nice to cool down in the big waves. Lise that has started a Surfing course tried to surf while we others just relaxed. And there were a lot of surfers, the north coast of spain is really famous for it's great waves and beaches to surf at.
Direct after the beach we went to Connie’s house were she had made pizza that we ate together, our second dinner! It was a really nice day!

In front of Guggenheim

Hola a todos!!

I’m still having problems with posting the pictures.. Its just too bad because I have some nice ones over the city. But anyways I'll managed to post three at least..

This weekend I:
This Friday I went out with my friends. We first met up at the house of Connie and then went out o a gay discothèque. I had a really good time but maybe I drank a little too much and got really tired at 6 o clock, so Connie a German girl let me sleep at her house, she had a room unoccupied, so that was great.

But On Saturday I was really tired so I spent the day watching the series Friends in my bed. But at the evening I went ones again to Connie’s house, originally too watch a movie, but Michael a German guy had forgotten the computer so we just sat and talked together with the other Erasmus students from the day before more or less. Then at 1 a clock some of the others went out to party wile I took the metro home.

At Sunday I walked around the city a bit and then had a coffee at the big commercial center with Coco a French girl and two girls from Portugal. But the stores were all closed, Bilbao is quite boring at Sundays actually. But we took the initiative to go up the train or Funicular up to Artxanda the great viewing point over the city. It was really beautiful even though it wasn’t that sunny.

The view from Gugenheim.

We have decided to have dinners every week or so to keep in tough and beacuse its nice. I thought it was a realy tasty and dont know about the otherones but I think they liked it. Today I was bad again, I didn't go to school, I overslept, but I promess I will go tomorrow. Most of the Erasmus student are going out to night, but I dont want to, it is hard to get home and we have school tomorrow. But I am going out to eat with Lise and her boyfrend at Fresco, a vegetarian buffe, at eaght and maybe we will take some beers at some bars but I wont be out late. Today I had time to look a bit more on my courses but it is really complicated adn I hardly dont understand I thing, you have to chose courses but were to find out how you do it and when they are sceduled etc.... Lets just say that there are many un answered questions. But hopefully I will get some help tomorrow when I am going here to ask.

Today I also find out that Rose, my friend from Holland is coming to visit me the 10-13 of october. That is going to be fun!

Have I died and gone to heaven?

This weekend has been extraordinary! On Saturday I traveled outside of Bilbao with the help of my friend Lander and his car. First we went to a small beach outside of Bilbao, se the picture above. As you can see the scenery is SO beautiful here. After taking a dip into the ocean at this beach, we traveled forward to Noja, a village on the coast close to Santander and therefore it is not located in Basque Country but in Cantabría. Noja is a small village, but with some Spanish tourists come here to visit during the summer, and some who live in Bilbao may have an apartment here to stay in the weekend to come away from the city. It has a lot of beaches with fine white sand, a really long one and several of small ones with some cliffs separating them. Here I took another swim with some friends of Lander, two really nice girls in my age living in Bilbao. Then we took of to buy some sandwiches to bring with us and met up with more of Landers fiends, and took of to another place, a place maybe most outstanding that I ever seen in my life..

We went to the coast the traveled on by foot, or almost climbed. We went up a mountain, through a forest se the picture above. Then we went down 800 steps to an old lighthouse, there you could swing your body in to the ocean to chill down your body after the straining journey over the mountain. You could also swim under the cliffs and there was a have. After swimming beside and under the cliffs we sat down to eat our sandwiches talked and of course enjoyed the beautiful view. After eating, some of his friends starting to fish, trying to catch some of the big fishes swimming in the clear water. But Lander needed to go to a funeral so we took of climbing up the 800 staircases a job easier said than done, but we managed after a number of breaks to reach the top and through the forest and mountain and traveled back to Bilbao. Later in the evening Lander picked me up again and we traveled back to Noja or rather Isla a smaller village just beside Noja, a village with a lot of good restaurants especially with seafood. There we had a dinner with the friends of Lander, six girls and two guys. We ate typical Spanish food ordered a little of several to share amongst us, the Spanish way and drank some Spanish wine. After the dinner at the restaurant we went to several of bares in Noja, drinking some beers, dancing and talking. Noja has a good nightlife in the summer with several of bares and it was not expensive at all and the friends mostly girls were very nice.

The day after, the Sunday, we spent on one of the beautiful beaches of Noja, just sunbathing, talking and swimming in the sea to cool down from the heat. I must tell you all that it is about 30 degrees here everyday. In the afternoon Amaia, a very nice friend to Lander took me home to Bilbao. I hade a really good time and I had a time that I am never going to forget. But relieved to come home to rest and reflect of the time I had experienced. I must confess that only speaking Spanish and listening to Spanish is exhausting and right now my head is a mess and on the merge to explode. All the new expressions and the grammar put into speaking is hard and I haven’t gotten a hang of it yet and right now it is very psychological straining. I do not want anything more than to get a hang of it and to be able to manage it as my Swedish or my English. Very well, all I can do is to take a day at a time..

Hope you all are alright and I hope Nehat will book his flight here soon, because with him here I really would be to heaven!!

PS: the fotos could not be posted today but they will be up tomorrow ok =)

Arrived in BILBAO!!!

I have now reached the land of the Basque and would say the land where the montains dance with the elves of the sky and the spirits of the sea. First you can se a picture of Bilbao the city. I arrived the 2nd of september and I was lucky to have a friend to pick me up at the airport, is name is Lander and he is from here or livers in a village not far away from Bilbao. The picture belove is a picture of his city were he let me stay my first night here. It was very kind because I didnçt have an apartment yet, he helped me to call different apartments and drow me to look at one appartment in Casco viejo, the old part, he also showed me my university where I am going to go, and it is located in Sarriko close to the center.

My second day here in Bilbao we called other appartments and luckily looked at one in Sarriko that was perfect. And offcourse i got it, but I wasnt alloud to moove in the same day, so I stayed at a hotel with chared bathroom in the center. And the third day I started my spanish course, but it is in Leioa, quite a bit up in the montaines. I have to take the buss for half an hour every day. In the course I have so far got to know one Danesa and one girl from Germany and a little bit some gorsl from France. They are realy nice, but I hope to get to know more people soon. There are no activities for the Erasmus students, at least not yet, and that is boring, but we just have to find out things to do by oir selves =)

Of course I have gotten my spanish number now and I will email it to everyone, and my new adress. Right now I live alone but hter are a room more in my apartment that are going to be rent out to a girl, I think a German girl is going to look at it today. Hope it is going to be a nivce person, but I was hoping it to be a spanish girl.. but yeh yeh.

Of course I miss my little darling at home!! You know I love you and I am longing for you to get here to se how I have it..

All my love to every one who reads this!! Hugs and kisses/Jennifer

The last day before leaving..

Today is my last day here in Sweden with my love Nehat. Tomorrow very early I will fly to Paris then Bilbao. And right now it feels terrible, I just can't and will not think that I will be leaving Nehat for a long time. I'm trying not to cry, but some moments I just cant hold myself. I just want to stay in his arms forever but on the other hand I want to leave for my adventure. Going to spain has been my objective for a long time and I am not willing to give it up. You should fullfill your dreams and not be afraid of living, right? When I come back I will have my life to live with Nehat for the rest of my life, plus that I will have my experience from Spain. That is if Nehat still wants to have me..
