Have I died and gone to heaven?

This weekend has been extraordinary! On Saturday I traveled outside of Bilbao with the help of my friend Lander and his car. First we went to a small beach outside of Bilbao, se the picture above. As you can see the scenery is SO beautiful here. After taking a dip into the ocean at this beach, we traveled forward to Noja, a village on the coast close to Santander and therefore it is not located in Basque Country but in Cantabría. Noja is a small village, but with some Spanish tourists come here to visit during the summer, and some who live in Bilbao may have an apartment here to stay in the weekend to come away from the city. It has a lot of beaches with fine white sand, a really long one and several of small ones with some cliffs separating them. Here I took another swim with some friends of Lander, two really nice girls in my age living in Bilbao. Then we took of to buy some sandwiches to bring with us and met up with more of Landers fiends, and took of to another place, a place maybe most outstanding that I ever seen in my life..

We went to the coast the traveled on by foot, or almost climbed. We went up a mountain, through a forest se the picture above. Then we went down 800 steps to an old lighthouse, there you could swing your body in to the ocean to chill down your body after the straining journey over the mountain. You could also swim under the cliffs and there was a have. After swimming beside and under the cliffs we sat down to eat our sandwiches talked and of course enjoyed the beautiful view. After eating, some of his friends starting to fish, trying to catch some of the big fishes swimming in the clear water. But Lander needed to go to a funeral so we took of climbing up the 800 staircases a job easier said than done, but we managed after a number of breaks to reach the top and through the forest and mountain and traveled back to Bilbao. Later in the evening Lander picked me up again and we traveled back to Noja or rather Isla a smaller village just beside Noja, a village with a lot of good restaurants especially with seafood. There we had a dinner with the friends of Lander, six girls and two guys. We ate typical Spanish food ordered a little of several to share amongst us, the Spanish way and drank some Spanish wine. After the dinner at the restaurant we went to several of bares in Noja, drinking some beers, dancing and talking. Noja has a good nightlife in the summer with several of bares and it was not expensive at all and the friends mostly girls were very nice.

The day after, the Sunday, we spent on one of the beautiful beaches of Noja, just sunbathing, talking and swimming in the sea to cool down from the heat. I must tell you all that it is about 30 degrees here everyday. In the afternoon Amaia, a very nice friend to Lander took me home to Bilbao. I hade a really good time and I had a time that I am never going to forget. But relieved to come home to rest and reflect of the time I had experienced. I must confess that only speaking Spanish and listening to Spanish is exhausting and right now my head is a mess and on the merge to explode. All the new expressions and the grammar put into speaking is hard and I haven’t gotten a hang of it yet and right now it is very psychological straining. I do not want anything more than to get a hang of it and to be able to manage it as my Swedish or my English. Very well, all I can do is to take a day at a time..

Hope you all are alright and I hope Nehat will book his flight here soon, because with him here I really would be to heaven!!
